Cleaning a Cast Iron Skillet

You can also buy a food-grade non-stick skillet rack from any kitchen supply store.

Use the skillet rack to keep your skillet clean.

Take your scrub brush and wash the skillet with dish soap. If there is a lot of food stuck in the skillet, then use a few tablespoons of soapy water to clean it.

After cleaning your skillet with soap, rinse it under warm running water to dry it completely.

While it is still a bit warm, use your kitchen sponge and scrub the skillet gently. When it has been cleaned, then you can wash it in the dishwasher.

Choose to use the traditional way.

If you have a traditional stove set at home, you can choose to use the traditional way of cleaning a cast-iron skillet. In this case, all you need to do is to apply a thin coat of flour, butter, or fats onto the skillet and then turn it over until the liquid runs out.

You need to repeat the process until the liquid runs out completely. You can also cover the pan with aluminum foil.

Electric iron skillet
